Grew tired of ordinary offices, co-working spaces that are full of young workers but no friends. Perhaps you are actually looking for a community that is formed by partners that share the same passion with you! This is what Dream Impact is working hard to deliver. Here, you can find many interesting and inspiring stories found every corners, with friendly smiles and interesting discussions.
We provide co-working space and event space for entrepreneurs and organizers with social impact in Lai Chi Kok. We actually envision a society where everyone is conscious of the work they do, the things they buy and the values they advocate. It is much more than a physical venue and technical support for impact events. We drive to grow a purpose-driven ecosystem, bridging resources and partnerships towards social startups and corporates. As a result, everyone can scale and deepen their social impact and find social solutions together.
Walking inside Dream Impact, your eyes will be immediately attracted to our upcycling collective art piece made with upcycled wooden boxes on our wall and reception. We actually co-created with our partners through the painting session. Behind our reception, there is also a plant wall that is made by our partner @Rooftop Republic, adding a sense of greenery in our office. Next to our open area, there is a giant “Flexiture”, created by our partner, Off Cycle. It is a multi-function furniture that can reshape to match the use of different environments and functions. Behind the open area is our event space, we work hard to ensure every event held in DIHK space is a social impact event before leasing our space.
In the open area and pantry, you can always find partners from different companies chatting and or having lunch together. Most importantly, everyone in Dream Impact shares the same passion for social innovation and looks for social solutions as you do. You will encounter different interesting topics every day, where you can participate and make new acquaintances or even friends. This is what we call an organic conversation, comparing it with co-working spaces where only provide comfy working space, here in Dream Impact you will have a community.
To be in such a community, you could gain much more then just meeting new friends. Getting to know people from different social networks can bring you new information and opportunities. This is what the famous sociology theory – Strength of Weak ties (Granovetter, 1977) is about. Weak ties does not mean a weak relationship. A small number of common friends can actually make the two expose to entirely different kinds of people where they can exchange information and opportunities. Other than the impact on the individuals, organizations and social enterprises in the community are also benefited. Dream impact hopes to facilitate projects which involve different social enterprises so that they can work together for a greater impact and links social enterprises with corporates in order to scale up the impact that they are currently creating. Please do not hesitate to contact Dream Impact if you share the same vision, together we are stronger, that’s the power of a community.
